A South Florida restaurant wanted to honor Latin culture with a very original dish: “The Toston Burger”, a burger made from tostones. It was created at iBurger, a popular property located in downtown Miami. “We want to honor one of the rules that nature has given to Latin American cuisine and that have become an infallible and authentic ingredients in hundreds of dishes: bananas”, says the press release.
What is The Toston Burger?
The Toston Burger, which is how it is named on the menu, replaces the traditional hamburger bread with the tostones. The interior does not change: meat, fried cheese, lettuce and a homemade sauce with hints of coriander.

The ideology of this new dish is Alexander Soto, the owner and founder of iBurger. He explains that “Latin American cuisine is diverse in flavors, colors and textures, but elements as own as tostones make a difference at the table“.
“I have Venezuelan roots and there are flavors that are never forgotten, that’s what we want to achieve with the Toston Burger, a proposal that invites you to come back soon for more,” he added.
This dish, as reported from the restaurant, will be available on the menu lasts all month on the occasion of the celebration of Hispanic Heritage. The property is located at 275 NE 18th Street in Miami.
