The great boss of the reggaeton, Daddy Yankee, has just fulfilled the promise he made to the boriquitous rapper Kendo Kaponi when he was in prison: record a theme with him when he came out and help him boost his musical career.
Kendo got out of jail in January this year, but although the pandemic put all plans on a forced pause, Yankee did not forget what was promised and the strict code of integrity that characterizes him.
Alongside the also popular Anuel AA, who has a story similar to Kaponi’s and also received support from Yankee after coming out of prison, the Big Boss and rapper released Don Don, which promises to become a hit very soon.
Daddy Yankee, one of the strongest exponents of the genre
“I told you that once you went out I was going to give you wings to watch you fly high“, Yankee wrote on his Instagram account next to a photo from the video clip’s shoot.

☀️SIEMPRE❗️#DonDon #Jefe
“My word is law”
Daddy Yankee is characterized by the unconditional support for young talents and by putting its grain of sand so that whoever wants to integrate the ranks of Latin urban music achieves it.
Dura’s performer has boosted Anuel’s careers, Pacho Alqaedas, Tempo and showed him all his support for Nicky Jam on his return to music, after overcoming a drug stage and the problems they had when they formed the duo Los Cangris.
“Just as I showed my selfless support for them and saw them grow on the second opportunity that gave them life; my greatest desire is to see you succeed just like them. I always wholeen my convictions and the code I grew up with. I hope this issue will be a blessing to your life and your loved ones”. Daddy Yankee continued.
At the end of his publication, the Boricua king left an inspiring tip for all his followers and colleagues: “We can never give up in the dark because there is always a new day, always.”
