Everything is ready for you to start zunZún Children’s Fest 2020, which in its sixth edition will be held virtually on Sunday, October 11 from 11 a.m.
This time the FUNDarte event includes the premiere of Color Caribe, a downloadable illustrated songmaker, and a series of workshops aimed at children and the rest of the family.
It will be streamed from the FUNDarte YouTube channel.
The event will feature singer-songwriters Pavel Urkiza, Lucky Diaz, Lucy Kalantari; 123Andrés; Jesse Bisceglia; Héctor Pepo Herrera ; Maria del Sol Peralta ; Zulema de Prado; Aldo Mendez; Inez Barlatier; Carlos Cano; Jordi Tonietti and Rita Rosa Ruesga.
“This festival will have a completely different character than we have been celebrating over the years. Apart from being virtual, we will focus on the publication of a songbook and everything involved in the creation of a book,” Ruesga told, who together with Ever Chavez, director of FUNDarte, will take over the production of the event.
Referring to the selection of guests, the artist explained that it is a group that cultivates children’s music, a genre that does not enjoy sufficient diffusion in the markets, which against wind and tide manage to defend it from their respective countries.
Among the names he mentioned Grammy-winning Lucy Kalantari and 123Andrés and Lucky Diaz, winners of the Latin Grammy.
Referring to the content of the issues, he noted that they all concerned environmental care, family care, adequate nutrition, formal education and health, just to mention the most relevant topics.
“Before we started producing the songmaker, we took on the task of reviewing similar publications and found none with current songs. All were based on La pájara pinta, Rice with milk and other traditional themes; which makes our book a completely original work, Rita Rosa noted, recalling that the team of artists took over the project “as a cause” in favor of education.
