Venezuelan artist Anthony Galindo is on the verge of death in a Florida hospital after a suicide attempt that left him in a coma.
Galindo, who was a member of the Menudo group, and after MDO, was in a hopeless medical situation. His family said they were preparing to disconnect him from the medical teams that kept him alive, in a statement sent Friday afternoon to the media.
“The damage suffered by Anthony makes her condition unsy compatible with life, even though in the last few days she continued to fight for her and show minimal improvement,” the family said, anticipating the end.

Galindo attempted suicide last Sunday after facing a severe depression
This depression began with his estrangement from the stage and was aggravated by the pandemic, the family said in a message sent to the press in the middle of the week.
Galindo, 41, joined Menudo – the group that launched the career of Ricky Martin, Draco Rosa, Johhny Lozada and thirty artists – in the final stage. He then integrated one of the group’s most successful renaissancees, MDO, which recorded several albums and even crossover.
Known as “The Daddy Joe,” Galindo was at MDO until 2003. After his departure from the group, he was a television presenter and had a dance academy in Mexico. According to his Instagram account, he served as a singer, producer and songwriter.
The biographical note accompanying the statement says she excelled as a model on the catwalks of San Juan Fashion Week. He received a recognition as “El Hombre Mas Sexy” from television in Puerto Rico and collaborated with the group Los Super Reyes, rapping, singing and composing.
The singer is Elizabeth’s father of her relationship with Puerto Rican Michelle Matos.
The family appreciated the concern and affection of the public and highlighted the professionalism and the great human being who is Galindo.
“We know how much their audience has loved it and we have no words to thank them for the displays of love and solidarity that have not stopped since day one,” the family concluded.
