The FBI searches a dumpster in southeast Florida for the body of Leila Cavett, a Georgian woman who disappeared last July while her two-year-old son was found only near an apartment building in the Floridan city of Miramar.
Local media shows this Friday images of the Monarch Hill dumpster in Pompano Beach, showing investigators covered in special clothes searching small areas.
FBI sources told the media that the search has to do with the investigation into Cavett’s 21-year-old disappearance, which was last seen on July 26 at a local gas station in Broward County.
A 38-year-old Shannon Ryan who is imprisoned on charges of kidnapping Leila Cavett’s son is arrested for the case
Ryan’s van was, according to security camera videos, parked near where Cavett’s son was found, after she disappeared.
The man says he met Cavett in 2019 and that last July 25 she came from Georgia to Florida and was with him to arrange the sale of his truck.
Against the detainee, who, according to his Facebook page, is a “witch”, he is also using the missing young woman’s debit card to buy extra large garbage bags, two carpet odor disposal boxes and a roll of high-strength adhesive tape.
