Based on the true story that touched the world, the film portrays the 33 Chilean miners who were trapped more than 700 meters underground for two months following the collapse of the San José mine on August 5, 2010. Antonio Banderas plays “Super” Mario Sepúlveda, the public face of the group of miners, who make daily video records to assure the public that they are still alive.
El Embarcadero (2019), a Spanish series created by Alex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, with Alvaro Morte and Verónica Sánchez. A successful architect named Alexandra, of strong personality and talent, faces her worst nightmare when she receives a call from local policewoman Conrado to identify the body of her husband Oscar, found on a dock. From there, the woman will discover that her partner had dark secrets. Two seasons.
In Amazon Prime the Argentine film El Custodio (2007), directed by Rodrigo Moreno, with Julio Chávez and Osmar Núñez. This drama revolves around Reuben (Chávez), a man who sees his work as the most important thing he has, until an existential crisis forces him to rethink his life. Therefore, tired of enduring the hypocrisy and disdain of his boss, Argentina’s Planning Minister Ruben becomes his greatest threat.
Champions (2018), Spanish comedy-drama by filmmaker Javier Fesser with performances by Javier Gutiérrez and Juan Margallo. The film is inspired by the story of the Aderes Burjassot basketball team, made up of people with intellectual disabilities, who won twelve Spanish championships between 1999 and 2014. Marco (Gutierrez) is going through a personal crisis that is acute when he is fired from his job. After suffering a traffic accident that carries a serious fine, Marco must choose between 18 months in prison or 90 days of community services training a basketball team made up of athletes with various disabilities. Thus, what is not at first seen by him will over time become a lifelong lesson.
